Systematic Mentally ill Rehabilitation Program, the foundation feeds, treat, and cloths patients every fortnight, registering 71 patients
to the National Health Insurance Scheme, leading to total recovery< of three patients who are united with their families.
- Through the World Food Program on Food for Training (WFT) Bahass Foundation was able to create mental health awareness in 10 communities in the upper west region.
OUR IMPACT
During 2004 to 2023, about 500 terminally ill persons have benefited from the foundation. Some specific achievements from our programmes include: Key results included:
- 61% of young people within the major towns of Upper West have been sensitized on mental health
- Rotational celebration of world mental health day Jirapa Municipality (2021), Nadowli/ kaleo Districts (2023)
- Over 100 terminally ill persons are receiving free clothing and feedings
- Over 30 volunteers are providing humanitarian service in the area of care to the terminally ill persons.
CURRENT PROJECT
- Currently, Bahass foundation constructing the Multi- purpose Mental Home Project in the Wa Municipality of the Upper West Region.
- Also, the foundation has earmark awareness creation on the use of tramadol and related substance.
- Organize the annual Mental Health Day Celebrations in rotational formats in Municipalities and Districts within the Upper West Region
